BNP Paribas Wealth Management
We are delighted to receive this award for the third time in the past four years.
The award reflects our ongoing and continued commitment to providing our clients with the best portfolio management services to meet their individual needs. Our ability to systematically customise portfolios to reflect client preferences, while still providing best-inclass asset allocation and investment selection, sets us apart. This strength has been highly valued by our clients, especially in turbulent markets such as those we faced last year.
We are proud to be able to accompany and guide our clients on their asset allocation and investment journey.
What was behind the judges’ decision?
- Over the years, the firm has emphasised client conversation. The team meets with clients on a quarterly basis, reviewing portfolios and adjusting asset allocation and strategies to better suit their changing needs
- The DPM team provides detailed quarterly portfolio updates during these discussions, including performance attribution, transparent reporting of holdings in the portfolio, and commentary on outlook and positioning
- The firm has expanded its ESG offering in 2023 and plans to make bond mandates ESG integrated, leveraging inhouse methodology and robust ESG framework to assess companies on key ESG issues versus peers
What we said
“For BNP Paribas Wealth Management, 2023 was the year the bank saw record high penetration in its DPM business posting positive net inflows for the year as the team continued to deliver resilient performance while staying nimble and responsive,” said Twinkle Sparta, associate editor, Asian Private Banker.
“The firm’s bond mandates have remained resilient compared to other bond funds and indices in this challenging environment, driven by the team’s focus on keeping duration short, rigorous due diligence prior to purchase, close monitoring, and strict risk controls in place.
“On the equity side, instead of just running mandates with a growth bias via existing thematic strategies, the firm also incorporated some value play via dividend strategies. Overall, DPM has remained nimble amid market volatility, adjusting allocations within clients’ tailor-made equity portfolios to include both growth and value exposure. A huge congratulations to BNP Paribas Wealth Management for winning the Best International Private Bank – Discretionary Portfolio Management award.”
