What was behind the judges’ decision?
- In 2023, Waterfield Advisors significantly bumped up its entire offering. The judging panel was particularly impressed by its new dedicated advisory for Bollywood actors and sports stars, addressing an often overlooked client segment whose short earnings span results in very specific requirements. Other launches included a new fund of funds that raised US$250 million and a multi-asset discretionary platform
- Waterfield Advisors scored highly across a number of the key business metrics used by Asian Private Banker to judge the Awards for Distinction. These included revenue growth (with the judging panel noting a strong proportion recorded from stickier, recurring sources); one of the lowest cost-to-income ratios in the Indian wealth industry; and a significant yearon-year rise in AUM, with a large part of this derived from net new money
- In 2023, the company took further steps to build its global business. Through its partnership with Zephyr, Waterfield launched the Zephyr-Waterfield Premium Account, allowing for the creation of customised global portfolios for clients at a ticket price of US$3 million. The platform is already enjoying robust demand, with one client onboarding US$100 million to the Zephyr-Waterfield Premium Account
