What was behind the judges’ decision?
- The independent wealth manager has continuously demonstrated a willingness to embrace cutting-edge technologies in its investment processes. One of the latest examples is LC Vantage, an end-to-end integrated wealth manager platform that delivers access to more than 40 global markets; institutional-grade analytics; and portfolio optimisation across private banks and custodians. The platform also offers access to a variety of investment products and has already generated strong interest from clients
- In 2023, the firm reaffirmed and built upon its leadership in the private markets space. Lighthouse Canton’s developments in this space included the launch of a venture debt fund targeting India and Southeast Asia; a deepening of its specialisation in the life sciences space; and continuing income generation and capital appreciation from its 100% Singapore-focused, short-term secured debt opportunities
- Lighthouse Canton demonstrated strong risk-adjusted returns across its flagship fixed income and equity portfolios with less volatility during the review period, delivering strong alpha relative to their respective benchmarks. In the view of the judging panel, this provides another strong vindication of the wealth manager’s investment processes, which leverage extensive inhouse research and proprietary models that incorporate quantitative screens and qualitative analysis
