Lord Abbett & Co. LLC is a privately held, global asset management firm founded in 1929. From the day we first opened for business, our approach to investing for and serving our clients has been rooted in our core beliefs: Our clients always come first, our firm maintains a singular focus on the management of money, and our perspective is shaped by our independent thinking. These beliefs and our experience have empowered us to serve generations of clients, navigate changing markets, and earn the privilege of managing approximately $196 billion in assets (as of March 31, 2023) across a full range of global investment offerings that span both equity and fixed-income vehicles.

Headquartered in Jersey City, NJ, we opened our Singapore office in October of 2022 as part of our growing worldwide expansion, which includes offices in Dublin, London, Paris, Zurich, Dubai, and Tokyo. This ongoing strategic effort has enabled us to serve the worldwide needs of private banks and global financial institutions, whose trust we have earned through long-standing relationships.

In terms of our proven fixed income capabilities, we have a 50-year history in leveraged and multi-sector credit investing and manage $168B in global fixed income assets under management, which span corporate credit (investment-grade corporate, high-yield corporate, bank loans, convertibles), securitized products (commercial MBS, ABS, CLO, residential MBS), and emerging markets (corporate, sovereign).

Within a year of establishing our office in Singapore, we were recognized as Best Fund Provider – US Bond in Asian Private Banker’s 2023 Asset Management Awards for Excellence. The rationale for the award cited the Lord Abbett Short Duration Income Fund and its investment team, saying, “Active management across credit sectors and rate exposures allowed the team to drive solid performance in this strategy over one of the most challenging fixed-income markets on record”.
