What was behind the judges’ decision?

  • UBS Global Wealth Management’s submission to the Awards for Distinction drew a clear line from its wealth planning offering to tangible positive business outcomes, including new client onboardings, net new money, and revenues from third-party service providers
  • In terms of philanthropy, UBS Global Wealth Management was able to outline to the judging panel the full capabilities of its end-to-end offering, from strategy and structure to execution, which is not currently matched by its peers in the market. Notably, the UBS Optimus Foundation has been recognised by Chinese regulators for its work in mainland China, making it one of only four NGOs to have received this status
  • UBS Global Wealth Management made a compelling case to the judging panel that its asset serving for family offices is the most competitive in the region — ranging from electronic trading, to institutional custody, to multi-bank reporting, to private label funds
  • The bank convincingly illustrated a number of client case studies that demonstrated its capabilities in all of the above points. In one such example, UBS Global Wealth Management outlined the full suite of wealth planning services it was able to provide to a Chinese entrepreneur emigrating to Singapore — including asset protection and succession, setting up a single family office, a family governance mechanism, next gen development, a charitable foundation and a philanthropic strategy
