What was behind the judges’ decision?

  • Credit Suisse’s FX advisory business turned in an impressive performance during the period under consideration across several key metrics, including revenue growth, direct access revenue contribution, and notional trading value. In the view of the Awards for Distinction judging panel, this reflects the bank’s strength in providing opportunistic products and trading ideas despite tough underlying market conditions, as well as its capabilities in communicating these ideas to clients in an effective and timely manner
  • In 2022, Credit Suisse substantially enhanced its already market-leading FX execution capabilities in the region, including adding more trading counterparties to its in-house aggregation platform and reducing the number of clicks from pricing an FX trade to providing a disclosure template to clients. Under its best execution obligation, the bank provides FX clients with a minimum of three quotes from counterparties
  • Credit Suisse has made strong efforts to upskill its RMs in educating clients on the reasons for having FX in their portfolio. Initiatives include an FX buddy programme that provides RMs with access to weekly conference calls and in-depth portfolio analysis, as well as an FX masterclass
