What was behind the judges’ decision?

  • In 2022, HSBC Global Private Banking built upon its already stellar work in developing its digital offering in the previous year. Enhancements included the enabling of e-signature for existing clients, the delivery of personalised investment advice through GPB Chat, a client messaging platform that integrates with WhatsApp and WeChat
  • During the period under consideration, HSBC Global Private Banking markedly expanded upon the mobile capabilities it launched in 2021. For example, the bank added trading in structured products such as fixed-coupon and equity-linked notes, and included the capability for clients to structure their own products, in a first for a private bank in Asia
  • In addition to mobile trading of more than 2,900 funds from over 40 fund houses, HSBC Global Private Banking in November 2022 enabled subscription, redemption and top-up of discretionary mandates through mobile platforms
  • HSBC Global Private Banking substantially enhanced its digital client proposition with the launch of its Prism advisory services, backed by BlackRock’s Aladdin Wealth technology. The system empowers RMs to provide higher quality, more timely investment advice to clients by monitoring more than 3,000 risk factors daily
