Fidelity International has been named Best Fund Provider – Technology Equity for its ability to capture the upside of tech equities with its FF – Global Technology Fund in what was a challenging year for tech stocks.

Launched in 1999, the fund is a global equity strategy designed to deliver long-term capital growth by investing in stocks of global companies developing products, processes, or services linked to technological advances and improvements.

The FF – Global Technology Fund integrates an ESG analysis into its investment process and has a minimum of 50% of its holdings in companies with strong sustainability characteristics.

The strategy outperformed the benchmark — MSCI ACWI Information Technology Index (Net) — and its peers from inception, and particularly since the current portfolio manager’s tenure starting in 2013.

For the 12-month period to 31 August 2022, the FF – Global Technology Fund outperformed its peers by 12.9 pps.

The fund enjoyed robust inflows from private banking platforms globally in 2022, gathering US$13.6 billion in AUM as of 31 August 2022, making it one of the largest among global peers.

For these reasons, Fidelity International wins Best Fund Provider – Technology Equity in Asian Private Banker’s 2023 Asset Management Awards for Excellence.
